Consumer Website

As the lead designer on a full-service marketing team, I was responsible for creating a new e-commerce website for Gerber Childrenswear that aligned with the company’s existing branding and style guidelines. This project involved collaborating closely with other team members, including developers, copywriters, and marketers, to ensure that the website not only looked great but also functioned well and effectively communicated the Gerber brand’s values and message.

Problem

A new e-commerce website for Gerber Childrenswear needed to be designed to align with the company’s existing branding and style guidelines.

Process

My design responsibilities involved adopting corporate brand guidelines and creating all the front-end pages across the e-commerce user experience. I created templated pages for each product category landing page, subcategory pages, product grouping pages, and individual product pages.

After presenting screens and flows to stakeholders, I extracted and provided CSS styling to developers as easy-to-follow screen captures, along with adaptable SASS packages.

Results

After six months of close collaboration with team members, including developers, copywriters, and marketers, the website launch not only looked great but also functioned well, effectively communicating the Gerber brand’s values and message. As a result, Gerber awarded us additional design work for their Weekly Special email blasts, designed to align with their seasonal promotions.
